Results of Tests and Investigations
When you attend for blood tests at the surgery you will be told how long you should expect to wait for the results. If you have tests at the hospital, the hospital should tell you when your results are likely to be available and the hospital are responsible for giving you the results unless you are told otherwise.
When the results come through to the surgery they will be checked by a GP and the practice will only contact you if the results are abnormal or of concern.
Please note the practice will not contact you if your results are deemed satisfactory by our GP. You are welcome to call the surgery and speak to the reception team but they will only tell you what the doctor has put on each test – they cannot discuss values and numbers with you and what they mean. If you require more information about your test results please book a telephone consultation with the GP
Please telephone after 12.00pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday only.
Our practice has a strict confidentiality policy, and our staff will only speak to you, unless you have given permission for the practice to speak to someone on your behalf.
Test results can be viewed via Patient Access and the NHS app or you can request your results by contacting your GP online using an online form
